About Us Müllwood
Müllwood started the way many good ideas do out of necessity. Living with curly hair in Sri Lanka, we were frustrated. Nothing on the shelves actually worked for our climate: imported products were too expensive and never consistent, while local ones just weren’t made with curls in mind.
So we took matters into our own hands. We started mixing flaxseeds and botanicals in our kitchen, testing batches on ourselves and learning as we went. The results were promising, but we wanted more more consistency, more care, more quality. That journey took us from the kitchen to a lab, where we refined the formulas, and finally to Sri Lanka’s first COSMOS certified factory, where Müllwood was truly born.
Today, every jar and bottle carries that journey with it simple beginnings, countless trials, and a promise to always put quality and care first.
Founders’ Note
“We didn’t set out to build a brand we just wanted something that worked for us, for our friends, for anyone with curls battling the Sri Lankan humidity. Müllwood grew out of that need, and it’s still personal for us. Every product is a little piece of our story, and now, hopefully, part of yours too.”
